Double board-certified Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Management Specialist Ioannis Skaribas, MD, DABA, FASA, is a highly gifted and experienced physician renowned for his expertise in Spinal Cord Neurostimulation and advanced interventions.


At his practice, Expert Pain, in Houston, Texas, Dr. Skaribas performs cutting-edge procedures that offer patients relief from severe and persistent back, neck, and leg pain, and pain after back surgery. Dr. Skaribas earned his medical degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and served his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, earning the "Intern of the Year" award. He also completed his Fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.



Dr. Skaribas has held many positions of distinction and is a thought leader and prolific author in the field of Interventional Pain Management and Neuromodulation. His work has been published in numerous clinical journals and books.


With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Skaribas is a key opinion leader (KOL) in Spinal Cord Stimulation for the United States and internationally. He sits on numerous boards, is a Double Boarded Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, and has earned the honored distinction of being a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
